Collapsed Bedroom Ceiling Replacement

This bedroom ceiling had collapsed due to failure of the original plaster strapping, which had deteriorated over time.

All damaged material was removed, the structure inspected, and a new ceiling installed. The ceiling was then flushed, sanded, and painted to complete the works.

This type of failure is common in older plasterglass ceilings where the original fixing system has reached the end of its service life.
